Microsoft reveals the Xbox Series X dashboard in a video

While Sony is still silent about the PlayStation 5 operating system, Microsoft has already detailed the Xbox Series X dashboard in videos and many promo photos. The system should be not only prettier but, above all, much faster.

A few weeks ago, Microsoft already showed the new Xbox Store, which is much clearer and faster – the app launches in less than two seconds, and thanks to the new navigation, users can get to all important areas of the digital store much faster.

Microsoft has now revealed the complete Xbox Series X dashboard in the blog post and video below. At first glance, the start page is very similar to the existing user interface, but it has become much clearer. The home screen should load “more than 50 percent” faster at startup, or about 30 percent faster if you want to open it from a game. The main memory required for the operation of the dashboard has been reduced by 40 percent.

Microsoft has also shared some screenshots of the new Xbox smartphone app that lets Xbox users start downloading the game right from their smartphone or view statistics on the time spent playing the game. Of course, you can also exchange messages with friends or create groups to play together.

The Xbox One (from € 259 on Amazon) will also receive improvements thanks to a software update. Either way, these updates are not only welcome but badly needed. The Xbox Dashboard has evolved steadily over the past few years. But many features have become unnecessarily complex and slow, and Microsoft finally seems to be taking a step in the right direction.
