The active user base of popular online shooting games has been reduced by more than 60%.

Epic Games has filed a new petition and disclosed interesting statistics in an ongoing trial with Apple involving the removal of Fortnite and a developer account from the App Store.

The developer confirmed that since the removal of Fortnite from the App Store in mid-August 2020. The daily active user base of the popular online shooting game has decreased by more than 60%.

Epic Games also added that Fortnite has more than 350 million registered users. But the largest gaming platform is iOS (116 million people). In addition, 63% of Fortnite iOS users cannot log in to the game from any other device. In other words, removing Fortnite from the App Store will not release an update, which will cause Fortnite fans on iOS to leave instead of returning.

In a new petition, Epic Games asked judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers (Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers) to force Apple to return Fortnite to the App Store, at least until the end of the trial.

The next hearing is scheduled for September 28.
