It’s the first smartphone to get an optical zoom.
According to information obtained from TF International Security analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, next year there will be more Huawei smartphones equipped with a periscope camera with telephone photo lenses.
Specifically, it has been reported that the flagship smartphone Huawei P40 Pro will get an 8-megapixel module with an aperture of F / 4.0, which will become the world’s first smartphone with 10x optical zoom.
It is also expected that Huawei will use the camera with 5x optical zoom in various smartphones, including Huawei P40, flagship models Huawei Nova, Honor and Huawei Mate.
Supply chain sources say that the first batch of 10 x zoom cameras for Huawei smartphones will include 9 million units. As long as there are 5x zoom cameras, the first batch will have 28 million units.
The smartphone Huawei P40 series will be priced from $ 570 to $ 710, analysts added.
The Huawei P40 series smartphones will cost between 4,000 and 5000 yuan (70 570-713), which seems to be the starting price of the standard version, analysts noted.
Currently, the Huawei P30 Pro is the only Huawei smartphone that comes with Periscope camera, and after upgrading to 10X, Huawei P40 Pro can create more headers than its predecessor.
Supply reports show that the first batch of 10x magnification and periscope lenses were designed for Huawei for about 9 million units, and 5x magnification – for about 28 million units. The total number of periscope lenses will reach 37 million in 2020, compared to 9 million in 2019.
