A few days ago, in the latest report, Guofeng Ming, an analyst at Tianfeng International, once again predicted that Apple will release five new iPhones this year. Fu Zhikang Group’s new product development business one-time engineering expenses (NRE) is expected to significantly benefit from the increase in new iPhone models and changes in the release cycle.

The reports point out that the five new iPhones this year include: 4.7-inch LCD models (iPhone 9 or iPhone SE2) in the first half, 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch OLED rear dual-camera models (iPhone 12 series), and 6.1-inch And a 6.7-inch OLED rear three-camera model (iPhone 12 Pro series).

Except for 4.7-inch LCD models that do not support 5G, the other four models will support 5G.

Guo Mingxuan pointed out in the report that Apple will release new iPhones supporting both mmWave and Sub-6GHz (both equipped with Qualcomm X55 baseband) in the second half of this year.

Because the SMT (Ship Technology), housing, and antenna design of the two models are different, the overall new product development is more complicated than in the past.

He predicted that the iPhone 12 series shipments will reach 80-85 million units this year, of which the shipments of models supporting the mmWave version account for 15-20%. As a comparison, the iPhone 11 series shipped 75 million units in 2019.

According to previous foreign media predictions, the 5G iPhone will be divided into the iPhone 12 series ($ 699- $ 799) and the iPhone 12 Pro series ($ 999- $ 1099), all equipped with A14 processors and released in September 2020.

Among them, the iPhone 12 series includes 5.4-inch OLED iPhone (rear dual camera), 6.1-inch OLED iPhone (rear dual camera);

The iPhone 12 Pro series includes a 6.1-inch OLED iPhone (three rear cameras, including ToF) and 6.7-inch OLED iPhone (three rear cameras, including ToF).

In terms of appearance design, the design of the iPhone 12 Pro series is updated, and the fringe is even smaller. The iPhone 12 will continue the current appearance of the iPhone 11 series and increase to dual cameras.
