Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9 receive an upgrade to One UI 2.1

A moderator post was posted on a Samsung forum in South Korea. Along with the presentation of Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphones, the manufacturer introduced a new version of the proprietary interface One UI 2.1. Which was also released for last year’s flagships.

Official sources from Samsung report that the new software interface will also be released for smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Note 9 lines. Which were the flagship devices of the company in 2018.  According to the report, an update for OneUI 2.1 is under development for the Galaxy S9 and Note 9.

A message from a moderator was posted on the Samsung forum in South Korea. Which confirmed that the company had considered the possibility of releasing One UI 2.1 for the aforementioned devices and launched the update.

According to official data, an upgrade to OneUI 2.1 is under development for the Galaxy S9 and Note 9. Moreover, a test version will soon be available for these devices.

The One UI 2.1 shell adds features that debuted with the flagship Galaxy S20 series smartphones – new AR emoji, quick file sharing Quick share, Music Share, “professional” video mode, and support for shooting front-facing video with 4K resolution at 60 fps with and much more.

GALAXY S9 AND NOTE 9 WILL RECEIVE ONE UI 2.1 UPDATE

When Samsung introduced the Galaxy S20 series, new smartphones subsequently unveiled a new version of the company’s firmware interface – One UI 2.1. This happened when some devices received an update on One UI 2.0 based on Android 10. However, Samsung quickly began deploying this gradual update of its firmware for some devices. Now sources familiar with this issue have found that the new software interface will be replaced by the 2018 Galaxy S9 and Note 9 devices.

Previous reports indicated that 2018 phones will not receive One UI incremental firmware. Although the latest update is simply optional. It adds some interesting features to make Samsung’s patented software more useful.

According to the report, an update for OneUI 2.1 is under development for the Galaxy S9 and Note 9. Moreover, a test build will open soon for these devices. Unfortunately, we will have to wait and see if this update will really be released on these devices in the coming days. In the end, although this statement came from a Samsung official. The starts of beta testing will be more compelling evidence.
