Share

While PlayStation fans around the world are still waiting for new information on the release date and price of the next-gen console. Sony has already released the first commercial for the PlayStation 5 – another sign that new information is coming soon. will follow.

Sony has apparently already completed the first TV commercial for the PlayStation 5, as the company has already shared the Hungarian version of the commercial online. The 30-second video can be seen in the embedded tweet from @ZhugeEX below.

The video covers some of the main features, including adaptive triggers and tactile feedback on the DualSense controller, and the implementation of 3D sound. There is no sign of new games or even previously unknown information in the console commercial.

The PlayStation 5 is expected to hit the market in November. But Sony has yet to officially comment on a launch date. According to the latest rumors, delivery will begin on November 13th. The Blu-ray version will start at € 499 and the digital version starts at € 399, so the Xbox Series S will presumably be € 100 cheaper, which could give Microsoft a competitive edge.

Another rumor speaks of a phenomenal live stream in which Sony will not only announce pricing and release dates. But many exclusive games and an official console teardown can also be expected. Either way, pre-orders should start no later than September, and the patience of PlayStation fans shouldn’t be lost for long.

Yesterday a Leak reveals the new price of the next-gen console

The announced prices and release dates for the next generation consoles have been posted online. The specified Twitter user claims to be “news” from credible sources, not rumors or speculation. The Twitter user mentioned is the infamous Roberto Serrano, who has been right a few times in the past. But also shared incorrect information about the PS5 launch. So you should be skeptical about that information.

PlayStation 5 PlayStation 5 DE Xbox Series X Xbox Series S
Release date November 13th November 13th November 6th November 6th
price € 499 € 399 € 499 € 299

According to Roberto Serrano, Microsoft will release its consoles first. The Xbox Series S is said to go on sale Thursday, November 5, while the Series X will go on sale the next day, Friday, November 6. This fits into a fairly reliable leak, so this date looks quite realistic. Sony, however, should wait a week and bring both versions of the PlayStation 5 on Friday, November 13th. This will be slightly earlier than the latest leak, which listed November 14 as the start date in Japan and November 20 for the global launch.

When you can pre-order the PlayStation 5 is not yet certain. However, insiders assume that Sony will comment on its release plans in the course of August or September. The same applies to Microsoft and the Xbox Series X.
