Lenovo A-series phone leaks onto Geekbench

Share

The Lenovo A series is a series of smartphones that are often cost-effective. The leaker claims that it will get new additions soon. This is based on the new Geekbench 5 list, which targets devices with unknown models, 4GB RAM, MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, and Android 10.

The Lenovo L10041 had leaked before it appeared in the July 2020 report. However, the same device has never been released since then, perhaps because it was hindered by the global pandemic. However, now it is again in the form of a new tip from @smartvenkat95, which provides more possible specifications.

The leaker noticed that the new model popped up again as a new entry in the Geekbench 5 database (on September 27, 2020). The result may indicate that the device is running Android 10 and 4GB RAM supported by ARM MT6762V/WB (or MediaTek Helio P22). A recent leak indicated that it has a 4850mAh battery.

The Lenovo A8 has a single-core score of less than 200 on the new benchmark, while a multi-core score of about 800. On the other hand, given its lower RAM and aging processor, this may be a good opportunity to spend a lot of money. Time to get almost the latest Android. Again, Lenovo has not approved these findings through official announcements

Lenovo’s new smartphone copies the popular Motorola model

Since Lenovo acquired Motorola, it has focused more on this brand. Now people know that the Lenovo K12 Note smartphone is preparing to release, and it will be a renamed copy of the previously released Moto G9 Play.

According to the Google Play Console, the upcoming Lenovo mobile phone is codenamed guamp. It will receive a screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, and 4 GB of RAM. It will run the Android 10 operating system out of the box.

The aforementioned specs and the image listed on the Google Play Console confirm that this phone is indeed a replica of the Moto G9 Play. This Motorola device debuted at the end of August in Europe and last week in the UK.

In India, the device came out under the name Moto G9. This means that Lenovo plans to sell the same smartphone under three different names around the world. Other manufacturers, such as Xiaomi, follow a similar strategy.
