The Ryzen 9 3900XT test results are beginning to appear on the Web, and in most cases they look encouraging: there is a gap from the Ryzen 9 3900X, although not always as large as we would like. So in UserBenchmark Ryzen 9 3900XT performed well, beating Ryzen 9 3900 immediately by 14 positions. But at the same time, the latest 12-core AMD gave way to a simple quad-core Intel Core i3-10320 …
If the Ryzen 9 3900X is in the UserBenchmark database at 42 positions, then the Ryzen 9 3900XT secured the 28th line. Progress is evident. But at the same time, the quad-core Intel Core i3-10320 is in the ranking in 24th place, and the 10-core Intel Core i9-10900K is completely unattainable – it secured the first place. It would seem like this is even possible? It turns out that it’s very easy: all because of the scoring system and the contribution to it of multi-core. We wrote more about this last year.
So UserBenchmark in its current state is extra evidence that the ratings can be different, and the data in them, too, but nothing will replace the personal experience and own understanding of the situation. It is necessary to consider different facts, and based on them to build your opinion, taking into account the nuances of all test systems and ratings. In this case, the most important thing is that the performance of the Ryzen 9 3900XT is really slightly higher than that of the Ryzen 9 3900X. But the difference is hardly worth changing an old processor to a new one.
Surprisingly, the i3-10320 quad-core processor is one of those processors that are clearly inferior to the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT test (91.8%) with its significant result of 94.1% and 24th place. We will not even mention one of the most important competitors of the Matisse Refresh chip, Intel Core i9-10900K since it is far in the first position by 103%. The breakdown of the Ryzen 9 3900XT benchmark results is quite interesting to read.
For example, in the test with 1 core, the microcircuit made a lot of efforts and scored 140 points. The 2-core result is also good at 276 points, and the rest of the test results are as follows: 4-core 540 points, 8-core 980 points, and 64-core 2044 points. UserBenchmark awards the Ryzen 9 3900XT with a score of 91.8% and a total score of 2970 points. His “rival” in Comet Lake, Intel Core i3-10320, has a higher rate of 94.1%, but the overall rating of ordinary, heavy, and server stands is only 1525 points!
Unsurprisingly, in the 64-core test, the 4-core 8-thread processor i3-10320 collided with the 12-core 24-thread Ryzen 9 3900XT processor, but only single-core results are important, right? But the maximum result of the 1-core Intel chip is 141 points, and the maximum 2-core – 278 points – almost the same as that of the AMD processor! Since the estimates are based on averages, the Ryzen 9 3900XT actually overtakes part of Lake Comet here.
