The problem with the green tint of the screen manifested itself in the Galaxy Tab S7 and Note 20 Ultra

Hope it can be fixed by a software update

The infamous green tint issue that hit many Samsung Galaxy S20 devices this spring seems to have returned with the recently debuted Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Tab S7 devices. Several owners of the Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Tab S7 +, and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra have noticed the treacherous green glow on their devices

On a positive note for users affected by this issue, even if they are not able to contact Samsung’s warranty department immediately (as locks are gaining strength again around the world and do not stop altogether in others). There is a good chance it is irritation is not indicative of a hardware problem. Namely, the vast majority of all Galaxy S20 models affected by virtually the same issue earlier this year have been cured of their green tint with a single software update. I hope that this time it will be so.

Interestingly, in the case of the Galaxy S20, the problem mainly affected the variants on the Exynos SoC. But the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone, which turned out to have a “green” screen, is built on the Snapdragon SoC. Moreover, given that even the Galaxy Tab S7 was not immune from adversity. It seems that the problem does not lie in the Super AMOLED panel drivers, as previously suggested.

The source reminds us that this problem of “green screens” has previously manifested itself, at least on the Apple iPhone 11, Google Pixel 4, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus Nord. On a positive note, the problem does not appear to be a hardware issue and could be fixed by a software update, as was the case with the Galaxy S20
