Patent gives an outlook on upcoming Sonos headphones.

Headphones from the Sonos brand have been mentioned for a long time. A patent from the manufacturer of the well-known multiroom system now gives an outlook on what these could look like.

With regard to speakers on four walls at home, Sonos has been quite extensive. However, music is often consumed during the journey. So far, Sonos only offers Move (available from Amazon for less than 400 euros). But this will soon change. Because the rumors about this brand of headphones have been around for some time.

The appearance of Sono’s headphones can now be seen for the first time in the company’s patent application. Two different in-ear headphones are shown here. Does this mean that the brand is planning two models at the same time, or these are just different design considerations, which is still open.

The patent shows that these headphones have Bluetooth and WLAN connectivity. They are equipped with two speaker drivers on each side. There is also a microphone, a button for activating a voice assistant (such as Alexa or Google Assistant) and common controls for controlling volume and playback.

Just as you are used to Sonos, the company will definitely pay more attention to the sound quality of upcoming headphones. The integration of as many streaming services as possible is also one of the advantages of Sonos audio products. In addition, of course, you must be connected to the Sonos network so that you can seamlessly switch playback between speakers and headphones.

It is not yet known when the new headphones from Sonos will arrive. It is possible that the company is focused on the Christmas business and presents the goods in advance. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
