Fall detection is a new feature. If the smartwatch detects a fall, it can manually send an SOS message to up to four previously defined emergency contacts. Even if this feature is mainly aimed at the elderly, it may be useful for athletes.
Joggers will benefit from the new running analysis. Thanks to better records when jogging. Wearable devices can provide more comprehensive running statistics. Another new feature is the measurement of VO2 max, which can determine the maximum oxygen absorption in the blood, thereby assessing the level of health.
On the Galaxy Watch Active2, not only the emoji and notification photos are displayed, but also the suggested options can be easily responded by using “Smart Reply”. For messages, chat history will be displayed instead of just a single message. In addition, AR Emoji stickers and Bitmoji stickers can now be used to reply directly from the smartwatch.
There are also some innovations in music playback because you can directly access playlists on your smartphone. In addition, with scroll capture, screenshots can be sent directly from the smartwatch to the smartphone.
Samsung has not yet announced exactly when the new update for the Galaxy Watch Active2 will be rolled out. But it should be ready shortly.
