Beaware! 21 apps are illegal steal user personal data

Recently, the National Center for Computer Virus Response recently discovered dangerous apps. Which violates the relevant provisions of the Law on Network Security and is suspected of collecting personal information.

Among the 21 applications announced there are many well-known apps such as “Jin Jiang Hotel”, “Zi Zi”, “Ctrip Travel”, and “Where to Go”. Inadmissible actions of these applications include: not granting the user all rights to the confidentiality of the application, as well as collecting and using it. Rules regarding personal information, inability to provide effective correction/deletion of personal information and cancellation of the functions of a user account, inability to create and publish complaints about the protection of personal information, reporting channels or refusal to accept and process within the promised time.

In this regard, experts said that the existing application has an excessive demand for personal permissions (information). Most permissions are not actually related to using its software itself. After these fees, the manufacturer will use it for any purpose. The goal is not to know for ordinary consumers.

Experts say that in our country over the past two years many relevant laws and regulations have been issued aimed at protecting the use of personal information, which was mainly due to the need to provide users with the right to receive information, as well as allowing users to provide ordinary services in case of refusal in these rights.

Experts also suggest that you should be vigilant about the permissions requested by the software, which include, for example, reading your text messages, personal accounts, bank card numbers, etc., and deny them if necessary.
