Apple Watch 6 exposure: longer battery life, support for blood oxygen / sleep / panic attack detection

Apple Watch get ECG Feature Approval in Japan

Apple’s new generation of Apple Watch will focus on mental health functions. According to the leaker Jon Prosser, Apple Watch 6 will use high-precision sensors to realize the detection of mental health, such as panic attacks.

Panic attacks are also called acute anxiety attacks. The patient suddenly experienced severe discomfort, which may include:

  • Chest tightness
  • Shortness of breath
  • Palpitations
  • Sweating
  • Indigestion
  • Tremors
  • Numbness of the arms and legs
  • A sense of death.

There may be no obvious reason or special circumstances. There are also people who attack in certain special situations, such as crowds, shops and public vehicles. The latter is called agoraphobia with panic attacks.

According to previous news, Apple Watch 6 is also expected to add blood oxygen detection function. Blood oxygen is an important indicator. And a drop in the body’s blood oxygen level may indicate severe breathing or heart problems that require immediate medical attention.

The addition of the blood oxygen monitoring function will help users get push notifications about hypoxemia. This technology may appear in future new products and is accompanied by the upgrade of ECG electrocardiogram function.

Several previous rumours have also shown that Apple Watch 6 will support sleep monitoring, capable of measuring sleep quality, duration and other indicators.

According to rumours, the Apple Watch 6 will be equipped with an S6 chip to provide longer battery life.

Apple Watch 5 has now become the industry benchmark for heart health, menstruation, noise reminders, and falls detection. Apple Watch 6’s new healthcare features will further enhance its competitiveness.

Apple officials have confirmed that the 2020 WWDC will be held online June 22. It is reported that at the conference Apple will introduce the new iOS 14, the new iPad, the new macOS, tvOS and watchOS.

Apple Watch 6 new features exposed:

As the September Apple conference gets closer and closer, there are rumours of many new Apple products, including the iPhone 12, and now it’s Apple Watch 6’s turn.

Recently, some foreign media have revealed two new features of Apple Watch: 6-sleeping monitoring and detection of blood samples.

The first is sleep monitoring. This feature is common in all types of bracelets and smartwatches Android. This is the standard configuration, but it did not appear on the Apple Watch. Since the reason is not a technical problem, in the end, it should be noted that the weak battery life of Apple Watch does not support users from day to night, up to 24 hours of constant monitoring work.

According to foreign media reports, the Apple Watch 6 S6 chip is expected to further increase power consumption, extend battery life, and implement a sleep monitoring function. In fact, Apple has been working in this area for a long time.

The second is a blood test. Foreign media reported that the Apple Watch 6 will have a built-in blood detection sensor and a blood detection function. Previously, the Apple Watch was unique in the world with the function of monitoring an electrocardiogram of an ECG. It is now wise to integrate the blood detection function. As for the current epidemic, users also need to monitor their blood oxygen levels at any time.

Of course, all these are rumours and assumptions, but since the Apple Watch 5 has not changed much, it makes people look forward to updating Apple Watch 6.
